A delegation comprising of students from Iqra University Karachi, visited office of Irta’ash Foundation at IBA Aman CED as part of their field work related to academic research (assignment) on social work in health sector. The delegation headed by Asif Roshan was received by Muhammad Nadeem (President), Syed Aamir Hussain Shah (Vice President) and Rao Israr Ahmed (Member Executive).
During briefing, the delegation was informed about the mission, objectives and various services provided by Irta’ash. It is also informed that the initiative for detecting cancer at early stage has been taken to cater rural population of the country as majority of them are unaware about the severity of this deadly disease. Early diagnosis plays a significant role in early treatment. Majority of the patients (children) in rural areas are not able to reach tertiary healthcare hospitals located in urban regions on time causing irreparable damage to their health.
The delegation appreciated the efforts and express their interest in participating in its upcoming medical camps.
