We work for early detection of Leukemia in children living in rural areas through free medical camps.
We organize free medical camps for screening at very low cost of approx: Rs.80,000/- to Rs.90,000/- per camp.
We screen children for any possible haematological disorder from the age group of 01 to 10.
Presently we have the potential to screen about 100 children in ONE medical camp which is scalable.
Irta’ash Foundation is a health sector social venture incorporated under ‘The Societies Registration Act, 1860 [XXI of 1860] Government of Sindh’. Laboratory tests play a significant role in identifying and treating any disease. Irta’ash sponsors such basic lab tests which are important in diagnosing various haematological disorders including leukemia, for those patients who cannot afford as they belongs to unprivileged families.
Early diagnosis is important in early treatment. Due to unawareness, majority of the children patients in rural areas does not reach tertiary hospitals on time causing incurable damage to their health. Therefore, counselling is important in motivating them for early treatment.
Irta’ash assists it’s screened patients in shifting to relevant tertiary healthcare hospitals for proper and timely treatment in case if needed. As Irta’ash does not sponsor any treatment, so it helps needy patients by forwarding their applications for financial help to possible donors.
Irta’ash organizes and participates in national & international conferences, seminars and workshops on various health related issues specially public awareness events spreading importance of early detection in cancer treatment and other haematological disorders.
